How to Register for Scholar Profile on Canara Bank Portal
GUIDELINES
Registration for Scholar Profile on Canara Bank : The revised page of scholar’s corner has been released for the UGC Scholarship being disbursed through CANARA BANK UGC Portal. The same will be available for the following scholarship schemes:
1. Dr. S Radhakrishnan Postdoctoral Fellowship in Humanities & Social Science
2. National Fellowship for students of Other Backward Classes (OBC)
3. Kothari Fellowship
4. NET-JRF Fellowship
5. Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child
6. Maulana Azad National Fellowship-Minority
7. Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC
8. Ishan Uday-Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region
9. Swami Vivekananda Single Girl Child Scholarship for Research in Social Sciences
10. Emeritus Fellowship
11. Post Doctoral Fellowship to Women Candidates
12. PG Scholarship for University Rank holders
13. Post Doctoral Fellowship for SC & ST
14. PG Scholarship for Professional courses for SC/ST
15. BSR Fellowships in Sciences
16. UGC-BSR Faculty Fellowship Scheme
17. PG Scholarship for M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharma to GATE/GPAT qualified candidates
The steps to be followed for registering the scholar in the Scholar’s corner are mentioned below.
1. The Scholar may visit the link https://scholarship.canarabank.in/scholar/Login.aspx
2. Click Registration Button, enter your details correctly.
Scheme: e.g.: RGNF SC/ST, NET JRF etc
Student ID: The Student ID as registered with the University under the UGC Portal
There is an option to Find Student ID also. Those who don’t know exact
Student ID, may use the FIND STUDENT ID option to find the correct ID
DOB: DD/MM/YYYY
Email: The mail ID that has been registered with University in the UGC Portal.
3. After entering the data, click Register Button and save the data. The message will
come as REGISTRATION SUCCESSFUL.
4. The password will be sent to the registered mail id. Check the registered Email ID for
the password.
5. GO TO page https://scholarship.canarabank.in/scholar/Login.aspx, enter the email
address and the password that has been received in the mail and LOGIN.
6. The password Change option will appear.
7. Enter the new password. Criteria for new password are as under.
a. Should have minimum 8 characters
b. Should have minimum 1 Upper case Character
c. Should have minimum 1 Lower case Character
d. Should have minimum 1 Number
For e.g.: Rahulaj1
8. After setting the new password, LOGIN again with the email ID and New Password to
view the scholars profile.
Facilities under the SCHOLAR’S CORNER
On Logging In, you will be directed to the Home Page where the following details will
be displayed.
- Name of the Scholar
- Student ID
- Account/IFSC (Only last 4 digits of account no: will be shown along with IFSC)
- Beneficiary Code along with status (accepted/rejected)
- Paid Details
The total payment schedule for the scholar is available under tab PAYMENT SCHEDULE. The status of each payment is also mentioned here.

First, you have to register on canara bank portal.
Sir, I have registered in the scholar’s portal but because of mismatched in data uploaded by my university, UGC has rejected my account. Now, my correct data has been uploaded by my university again. Now, I got the new mail to register in the scholar’s portal. But if I am registering again then it is showing that the email id is already registered and if I am login my account with the previous credentials then there is nothing to show everything there is blank and there are two clickable options “Approve” and “reject”. What should I do now sir?
Don’t worry.
You account is under process for approval.
what you have to do from your end, just check the details under “profile”.
If everything is correct then approve it (click on approve option).

I still face the same issue and from the university, got the response that my credentials are not to be found in the Canara bank portal. But I could create my profile and can see the status as described by Krishna Murari above. Is it yet possible to upload the student’s details from the university’s side?
I have the same problem. The university says my credentials can’t be found in the Canara bank portal and so they can’t upload my details. But I can see my profile through student login. Is there any problem from my side or the UGC hasn’t updated the options yet?

Are you able to find the details by selecting “Find Student ID”?
If yes, Please check your email. Is this the same email id which you had provided in UGC NET Exam form?

Hi team,
my felliwship date of commencement is wrong. Because of that JRF to SRF upgradation certificate is not accepting by UGC. Contacted UGC helpdesk and provided all the documents again to UGC by my institution. Almost 3 months passed but no update.

If you are still facing the same issue, ask your university to enter details again. I had the same issue. It got fixed today.

I registered on the Scholar’s corner through my email ID and provided all the required documents to the university for linking my account in July but the nodal officer has informed me that the request is being denied from the UGC’s end even after providing all the details. It’s been almost 8 months (Joining date: 08/01/2020), due to COVID-19 everything got delayed.
Whom should I contact to resolve this issue?
You must contact to the university where you have submitted documents.
They will sort out the issues.

my university has linked my documents on 22sep 2020(as being informed by the concerned teacher) but I haven’t received the linking process initiation mail from the canara bank which all other students have got immediately after the linking done by the university. what could be the possible reason for this sir? Moreover when i try to register myself on the scholar portal it shows either the details are incorrect or no details are found. please guide what needs to be done sir.

For email, you can check the spam folder of email id.
If there is no such email then please wait for a few days and also inform the concern person of your university.
If you have more than one email id then please check each email id to know which one was registered during the UGC NET form fill-up.
Still you are facing the issues while creating an account on Canara portal, kindly send your details to identify the issues. Otrherwise, you can ask for your university for the same.

kya bina HRA aur continuation form submit kiye beneficiary code nahi create hota? meri university ne sept 4 ko documents link kar diye the lekin ab tak home page par “Benficiary Code will be Created Once Account Details are Provided” ye msg show ho rha hai. Profile section me account number aur IFSC code updated hai. Aage kya karna chahiye, please guide.

I have qualified UGC JRF in 2018 and joined an institution on 12th march 2020.my registration has completed in November. It was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After that the institution tried to link with the UGC portal, but there were an error shown that ‘ the linking should be completed within 24 months’, but my jrf award letter validity is up to 36 months. Then the office initiated the mark exception, and the UGC approved it. Then the Institution tried to link with the UGC portal again. After entering the all details, couldn’t submit the report.it shows that ‘error occurred while saving the details’.
Why does it happen? How can I complete my linking process?
For this, you have to contact the UGC office in Delhi through email, phone or personal visit.
Ask your university to do the same from their end. Hope, the issue will resolve soon.

I have registered in canara portal with my id and password then my university updated all relevant details like joining date, commencement date, bank IFSC n account details. Then I got an option below this details that ( Approve or Reject ). I checked every details were correct, so I clicked on approve and then it showed a popup that details are successfully submitted.
But after I rechecked my profile and right now it’s showing (NO RECORDS) which was updated by University.
I am not able to understand why my details provided by my university are not showing anymore. What is the problem and kindly share some solutions.

My name on jrf award letter and all other documents didn’t match, in jrf award letter their is” E” Instead of “A” In my middle name. Only one letter mismatch . Will there be any problem in registration for fellowship and fellowship disbursement.

I’m a JRF scholar and have been receiving the fellowship for some time now. but recently I forgot my password and so tried to reset it. each time I try, I receive an otp. when I enter it, I’m loged in and am asked to change the password. but when I type in the new password(following all the given criteria), nothing happens and so I cannot log in. now, I urgently require a print out of my payment schedule so that I can apply for relinquishment. what can I do? is there any contact number or something where I can rectify the issue?
First of all clear all history of your browsing. Then try once again.
Otherwise, you can try to change in private or incognito window of chrome.

My university have uploaded the related document on the canara portal and i have got the email from canara UGC to approve it.After seeing every information was correct, i have approved it.
However, it been 15 day the portal shows the earlier detail “account yet to be updated”. Kindly provide info whom i can contact regarding this.
