We all are aware of the fact that the UCG NET exam is for lectureship at colleges and universities. The top scorers in the exam are JRF Qualified. The Junior research fellow (JRF) is a type of fellowship sponsored by UGC to do MPhil / PhD in India.

1. Teaching: Concept, Objectives, Levels of teaching (Memory, Understanding and Reflective), Characteristics and basic requirements

Objective of The Topic: To know the basic concept of Teaching and its objective and characteristics. This topic also explain about Memory level of teaching (MLT), Understanding level of teaching (ULT) & Reflective level of teaching (RLT). The requirement of teaching is also explain in this topic.

2. Learner’s characteristics: Characteristics of adolescent and adult learners (Academic, Social, Emotional and Cognitive), Individual differences

Objective of The Topic: In this topic, you will learn about the concept of learners, definition,  characteristics and type of learners. The characteristics of learners are further divided into Academic, Social, Emotional and Cognitive. The Individual indifferences is also explained.

3. Factors affecting teaching related to: Teacher, Learner, Support material, Instructional facilities, Learning environment and Institution

Objective of the Topic: The main objective of this topic to make aware of the factors that affect teacing. This will explain in detailed how the factors related to teacher, learner, support material, instructional facilities, learning environment and institution affect the teaching overall.

4. Methods of teaching in Institutions of higher learning   (New Topic)

Objectives: This topic explains the different methods of teaching in Higher education. 8. Swayam Prabha (New Topic)

Objectives: This topic covers the Swayam Prabha, an initiative for educational TV channels by Government of India.

9. MOOCs (New Topic)

Objectives: The Massove Open Online Courses (MOOCs) a technology based way of teaching and learning. This topic covers all the important point for MOOCs. The topic is new and important for upcoming UGC NET Exam.

10. Teaching Support System: Traditional, Modern and ICT based (New Topic)

Objectives: This topic is not a new one. The only change is the addition of ICT based Teaching Support System. This topic was included in old syllabus of UGC NET Paper 1 as Teaching Aids. The topic explains the different teaching aids for teachers as well as learners.
