Syllabus for NTA UGC NET 2021 (Updated): The University Grant Commission (UGC) has revised the syllabus of all subjects (including Paper 1) for June 2019 onwards. The new syllabus has been prepared according to the new and updated pattern of UGC NET exam. The new pattern of UGC NET exam is based on a computer (CBT) along with some other changes.
NTA UGC NET Syllabus 2021
National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established in 2017 to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has the responsibility to conduct JEE (Main), NEET – UG, Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST GPAT, UGC NET, etc.
Till July 2018, The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was conducted the UGC NET exams across the country. Since December 2018, the UGC NET exam is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) according to the new pattern of UGC NET exam.

Revised Pattern of UGC NET Exam:
NTA UGC NET June 2021 exam will be held in one session without any gap as under:

Note: There is no gap between Paper 1 and Paper 2.
UGC NET Syllabus Paper 1
It shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate. Paper 1 shall consist of 50 (fifty) compulsory multiple-choice questions, and each question will carry two marks.
UGC NET Syllabus Paper 2
Paper 2 shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry two marks.
Note: There is no negative marking for an incorrect response. No marks will be given for unanswered/Marked for Review questions.

The Test will consist of TWO papers having only objective type questions. UGC NET exam will be held between in one session as under:
